Terms of Use

Last updated 24 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Wandr. Using the app means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be survived — but they are the actual rules, so please do read them.

Who can use Wandr

You must be 18 or older. This is checked when you complete your profile and enforced in our database, not just in the interface.

Wandr is invite-only. Access comes through an invitation or the waitlist, and we decide who gets in. We may change how access works, pause new sign-ups, or withdraw access, and being on the waitlist is not a promise of an invitation.

One account per person, and the details on it must be true. Wandr is built on strangers meeting each other while travelling; a fake profile is not a harmless fib here.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you post — photos, moments, prompt answers, voice recordings, messages. By posting it you give Wandr permission to store, display and distribute it inside the app so the app can work: showing your post to your connections, delivering your message to the person you sent it to. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for what you post, and for having the right to post it.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

There is no tolerance on Wandr for objectionable content or for abusive behaviour towards other travellers. None of the following is permitted, anywhere in the app, including in private messages:

  • Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats or intimidation.
  • Hate speech, or attacks on people for who they are.
  • Sexually explicit material, and any sexual content involving minors — which we report to the authorities.
  • Violence, or content that encourages self-harm.
  • Spam, scams, phishing, or soliciting money from other travellers.
  • Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting who you are.
  • Posting someone else's private information, photos or messages without their consent.
  • Anything illegal where you are, or where the person you are talking to is.

Using Wandr to arrange or promote any of the above is treated exactly the same as posting it.

Reporting, blocking and what we do about it

You can report any person or any post from the place you are looking at it, and you can block anyone from their profile — a block takes effect straight away and removes them from your feed, your discovery deck and your messages.

We review every report we receive, and we aim to act within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld we remove the content and, depending on what happened, warn, suspend or permanently terminate the account. For serious cases we do that immediately and without warning. A terminated account is not reinstated, and we may prevent the person behind it from returning.

If you have been harmed by someone on Wandr and reporting does not feel like enough, email support@wandrapp.ca and a person will read it.

Meeting people in the real world

Wandr introduces you to strangers. We do not run background checks, we do not verify identities beyond the sign-in itself, and we cannot vouch for anyone you meet through the app. Meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and trust your instincts. You decide who to meet, and you do so at your own risk.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. You type your email address to confirm, and deletion is immediate and permanent — no grace period, no restore. Everything described in the Privacy Policy goes with it.

We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your behaviour puts other travellers at risk, or if we stop running the service.

The app is provided as-is

Wandr is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure against every threat, that matches will be suitable, or that anything you find here will be accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wandr is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, or from your dealings with other people you meet through it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited — and in some places consumer law gives you rights that override the two paragraphs above.

If you got Wandr from the App Store

This agreement is between you and Wandr, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and is not responsible for any claim about the app — including product liability, consumer-protection claims, or a claim that the app infringes someone else's rights. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and we will tell you in the app when a change is significant. Continuing to use Wandr after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes will be handled by the courts of British Columbia. If Wandr's operating entity is later established elsewhere, we will update this section and the date at the top of this page.
